Breaking news from TMZ, an obsessed fan of Paula Abdul's od'd in her car while parked outside Abdul's L.A. mansion. The woman, 26 year old Paula Goodspeed, is a suspected stalker who was seen many early mornings sitting in her car outside of the American Idol judge's home by neighbours.

Goodspeed was also a contestant on the fifth season of A.I. According to her family, Paula had an unhealthy obsession with Abdul and when missing @ 3am, they called the police to alert them that she might be @ Abdul's. Her car license plate read ABL LV and there was a pic of the star hanging from her rear-view mirror.

TMZ also tracked down the fan's MySpace page, where she wrote: "My secret crush, shhhh" and had a photo of Abdul licking her lips... probably taken by the photogs @ a Starbucks earlier that year, but out of context was very suggestive. Sources say that Goodspeed suffered from "extreme mental illness".

My heart goes out to her because this is so sad. Mental illness is no laughing matter and ppl shouldn't be ridiculed because of it! OK... this doesn't go for Paris Hilton and Mickey Rourke; I think their egos probably gulped-up their brains a long time ago!
