Valerie... this one's for you! Nicolas Cage spotted here in New York on the set of "The Sorcerer's Apprentice", a live-action feature film version of the Disney classic "Fantasia". You see, Valerie loves Nicolas Cage and will stand behind every movie he's made (although Con Air undoubtedly is in first place), not to mention will vouch for his acting ability time and time again. I, on the other hand, have a hard time picturing him as anything else other than the monotone, try-hard badass who saves the day?!

Then again, this is a Disney movie and have they ever put out anything crappy? And let's not forget that Cage's early career was riddled with some pretty stellar performances...I'm talking mid-80's to early 90's... Raising Arizona, Moonstruck, Honeymoon in Vegas, It Could Happen to You... notice it's all the movies that he hasn't had the role of monotone, try-hard badass! I think we should all expect this movie to hit big! And quite frankly, it's about time Cage's star rises again! We know the talent is there... we've just had to wait for THAT role... I think this is it! Stay tuned to July 16, 2010 when "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" hits the theatres!
